Welcome to Mary Rush Reflexology
I run a small treatment room situated about Wirksworth, overlooking Black Rocks. I can also offer a mobile reflexology service in and around Matlock, Wirksworth, Bakewell, and many villages in between such as Winster, Monyash, Tansley, Ashover, Baslow, Earl Sterdale and Lea.
Reflexology is a complementary holistic therapy which uses massage and pressure points on the foot to stimulate a response in the body. It uses the idea that the body and its organs are mirrored in the feet. It is a sensitive therapy that can pick up on past and present issues, along with emotional and physical imbalances in the body.
Hot Basalt stones can also be used, harnessing the power of heat, alongside the pressure points of reflexology.

I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists, and trained in reflexology to support fertility.
Before becoming a reflexologist, I studied and taught conservation and ecology. This gave me a deep sense of how energy flows through food webs and balances in nutrient cycles. This instilled in me how interlinked we all are to the world and the environment. In our busy lives it is easy to forget this and become isolated. I try to bring this to my approach, thinking how important our feet are to link us to the earth, and thus re-balancing.
Blog: Dad's Dementia Adventure
My Dad was diagnosed with dementia in 2018. Since Covid I have had the privilege of spending more and more time helping him and my Mum. As a family we have decided to share bits of our dementia adventure with you.

My Dad had being diagnosed with Vascular dementia, over lockdowns and with isolation, friends and family would ring my Mum to see how Dad was coping. However we decided to put pictures on facebook to show them. So many of my friends and family would say that the photos was the highlight of the day, we decided to make it a bit more official.
I try to add something every week, sometimes there is more, sometimes less. It all a bit of an adventure for everyone, who knows what is round the corner.

To bring a complete organic, environmentally sustainable products into my treatments, I have become a Neal's Yard Remedies consultant. Not only do I use the products, but I also sell them and hold reflexology pamper parties in conjunction with them. I offer a mixture of the wonderful Neal's Yard products with reflexology for a pamper party. The Host receives a free gift, and at the party, a facial. I then offer a short reflexology session to a guest.
